A squash originally from Spain, translated means “good-taste-of-the-oven”. The slightly flattened, ribbed and warted fruit reaches to about 12" across and can weigh 7-15 lbs. Colors run from deep green to pale sage, and the rinds occasionally have splashes of orange. Makes it a standout in fall displays. The dense, firm, yellow-orange flesh is sweet and fine-grained, and great for baking.
