The Iranian is a very unusual medium/large ornamental squash, with a unique foam-green rind with streaks of orange. Collected in 1940 in the northeastern Iranian city of Torbat-e-Heydariyeh, and preserved at the USDA seed bank ever since. These round and ribbed fruits can keep for up to a year and are an excellent addition to fall ornamental displays.
