“Cucurbita Maxima”, an Italian heirloom variety squash, also known as the “Chiogga Sea Pumpkin”.   This large 10-12 lbs turban shaped fruit has a blue/green highly warted exterior with a dense yellow/orange flesh. Great for autumn decorative use adding a deep green color not found in many other ornamentals. Good for filling pastas like ravioli or tortellini or can also be simply sliced, grilled, and salted. It has a nutty flavor when cooked and can be used in place of traditional pumpkin in desserts such as pies or rolls.
