Also known as "Citrouille De Touraine Winter Squash", it is a tall decorative pumpkin from Tours, France. It was first introduced in 1856. The seeds of this pumpkin are some of the largest of any variety, they are perfect for roasting and are great for pressing into oil. In earlier times, their pumpkin seeds were considered medicinal. The pumpkins weigh about 16-18 pounds and mature to a bright green with light green/yellow striping.
